I love smoothies I make them often and in my pursuit to find different ways to drink fruit I came across an individual I follow on IG named Rashidat https://www.rashidat.com/. She is a Vegan(which I am not) however, a lot of her post about juicing intrigued me. I had never juiced before, honestly, I thought it was for those that needed to lose weight and thought clearly that isn’t for me. I’m a buck 10 wet so losing weight is not on my agenda but she made juicing more about the health part about it and not the “diet” part that most use it for.
So in my quest to slowly change or better the food selections I thought “what the hell, why not give it a try” so I downloaded both of her books “Transition to Vegan” and “7-day holistic detox.” I have tried some of her meals within the first book but realized I never took pictures of the meals(shrug). I did, however, try the detox juice recipes.
The first is the green juice meal consisting of Cucumber, Kale, Spinach, Ginger, Green apples, superfood, and lemon. And I must say it was delicious. It was also my first time using a juicer machine and that thing is pretty cool.
The next juice meal I really really enjoyed maybe because I love pineapples. It consisted of Oranges, Pineapples, Grapefruit, Cayenne pepper, and Tumeric. When I tell you I could drink this every day! it’s seriously good.
She, of course, had a lot more juicing recipes and information about detoxing 7 days. I did not do the entire 7 days mainly because I did not realize how much fruit and vegetables you needed to make a 16-32oz drink inside of a juicer. I’ll have to shop just for that 7-day time frame next time(fruit and vegetables are not cheap
